Morgan's first bath!

Yay for Morgan after three weeks she was finally able to have a real bath. Her umbilical cord took alot longer to fall off than my other two girls. It got infected so I had to clean it multiple times during the day and let me tell you it did NOT smell good. She loves her baths until it is time to get out then she screams until I get her dryed off, then she loves to get lotioned. She is such a good baby and we love her so much!

Halloween Fun!!

We LOVE Halloween at our house. Mark was off this year so it made it even better. We started celebrating a week before at my sisters house. We dressed up the kids and let them trick or treat around her yard. Then Tali dressed up for her school Halloween party. After school they had a costume parade and then they sang Halloween songs they had been learning, it was so cute. I took the girls to one of my friends' work during the day on Friday to trick or treat, later that night we went to our old wards trunk or treat. On Saturday in the pouring rain I took the girls trick or treating around our neighborhood. We came home and watched the Utah game while Tali LOVED handing out candy to all our trick or treaters. We had a great Halloween and thanks to Mark for staying home with baby, she is still too little to take out and about! Tali was Ariel, Kenya a witch, and Morgan a penguin! Tali's school class

When we woke up to snow the girls were so excited. Tali was upset that she had to go to school she wanted to stay home and play in the snow. So after Tali got home from school I dressed them up in their snow clothes and sent them outside. They loved it. They made snow angels and threw snowballs at each other!

Gardner Village

Since I haven't felt like leaving the house, I feel bad for the two girls that are stuck at home all day except for Tali the three days that she goes to school. Mark got them ready and took them to Gardner Village to see all the witches. They had a blast and I'm sure the fresh air was excellent for them!! When they came home Mark told me that Tali wouldn't get her picture with any of the witches because she was scared and Kenya LOVED the witches not scared at all....this does not surprise me at all!! I am so grateful that Mark is such a good dad and loves to take his girls on little outings.

Morgan was 2 weeks old on 10/13/10. I can't believe how fast time goes by, I am learning to enjoy every minute. She had her 2 week appointment and here are here stats:

She weighs 8 lbs and 5 ounces

and she is 21 1/4 inches long

Morgan is such a good baby. She never cries, she will just fuss a little when she is ready to eat which is every four hours. The girls LOVE taking care of her and will jump up if she makes one little noise. They are always very concerned about her.

We have a new baby sister at our house. After 40 weeks of growing inside me it was time for her to meet all of us. I went in for a schedule c-section and everything went as planned. We welcomed her on 9/29/10 at 11:53 am. Meet Morgan Ilaisaane Marie Lapuaho

We love every inch of her...she is just perfect!

Tali has been a big helper. She loves to hold her and feed her and is the first to let us know baby is crying. Kenya has a much shorter interest span in her, she loves to hold her and feed her also but only for a couple of minutes and then baby is too heavy. Mark has been off this week and my mom has been here to help. I am still quite sore and trying to heal from my c-section. Once Mark goes back to work and my mom is gone it will be interesting to see how we all get along.

Tali has been asking all summer when school starts. She loved preschool last year and couldn't wait to start again this year. It was finally time for her to start her 2nd year of preschool. She loves her teacher and is learning so much.

Ward Camp

We took the girls on one last camping trip for the year. We went with our ward to Camp Everett. We had a good time except we could have done without all the rain. We went the last weekend in August. We enjoyed dinner and a smore bar for dessert. The girls had fun playing with all the kids. We look forward to next year and hopefully we will have better weather!

Tali turned 4!!

Tali turned 4 on July 29th. She wanted to have a beach birthday party. We had her party on August 7th since Mark was working the weekend of her birthday. We rented a water slide for the kids, enjoyed a nice BBQ, had a flip flop pinata, sang happy birthday, open LOTS of gifts, and enjoyed a beach birthday cake thanks to my mom who made the cutest cake ever. Tali enjoyed playing with all her cousins, and despite the 2 hour rain (more like down pour) shower we had the day turned out to be great!! I took Tali to her well child check and here are her stats:

Weight: 37 pounds - 35 percentile

Height: 39 inches - 35 percentile

Her blood pressure and vision are perfect.

Tali is such a sweet spirit and we are glad she choose us to be her parents. She is so excited to start her second year of preschool in September. She also can't wait for the baby to come out of mommy's belly so she can hold and feed her!!

My Birthday!!

It was my birthday on July 24th!! I had decided that I wanted to spend the day in Park City and do some shopping, where the temperature was a little cooler. We headed up to Park City and shopped and shopped and shopped some more. Surprisingly the girls and Mark were great sports with only a little complaining. When we were finished shopping we headed towards Morgan for dinner. The girls both took naps and Mark and I enjoyed the drive. We had dinner at Taggart's Grill. The food is delicious and the desserts are to die for!! If you haven't been I highly reccommend you take the drive and enjoy a nice meal.

After dinner we made out way back home. We did fireworks that night with family to end a great day!!

Days of '47 Rodeo

Mark and I decided that the girls were old enough to take them to the rodeo this year. We went on Friday July 23rd. We got there kinda early so waiting for the rodeo to start was the worst part. Once it started the girls really enjoyed it! We bought them their own cowgirl hat that had a tiara with flashing lights.

Camping - July 2010

I took the girls camping in July with my family. Mark had to work so it was just me. We camped from Thursday to Sunday and the girls had so much fun. We camped up Beaver mountain just down from Kent's Lake. It was so pretty and a nice little vacation. We were able to go out on the lake canoeing and fishing. Kenya's favorite thing to do was play in the dirt. She would sit for an hour and dig and dump dirt all over herself. Thank goodness for Grandpa and Grandmas trailer for the evening showers!! Tali loved playing with her cousins, they would color, play babies, blow bubbles, collect dirt, and of course have the occasional fight. We took the kids swimming in the lake one afternoon, they loved it. Tali said the fish were biting her toes but I doubt that!! It was a great camping trip but we missed our dad.

Tali and Kenya are quite the posers when then are in the mood...if you know what I mean!! Catch them at a bad time and you have just ruined their day. I am proud to say the Kenya is now potty-trained yipee....no more diapers for a couple of months, thanks to my mom. I had the hardest time getting this girl potty trained she is sooooo stubborn and everything has to be her way and on her time. My mom had them for a week in July and potty-trained her. I just kept it going when I brought her home and she has been doing great. One thing I have learned is don't even try to pick out her underwear for the day...that is her job and you will ruin her day if you make her wear ones she doesn't want to....stubborn I tell ya!

Lagoon 2010

We took the girls to lagoon on Sunday July 11th. It was HOT!! We had decided that we would get there when it opened and stay until the girls just couldn't take anymore. We spent the first four hours at lagoon-a-beach. The girls had a blast playing in the water, going around in the lazy river and playing on the slides. It was nice for me too, to stay cooled off in the water. After we were done swimming we decided to get some lunch and then hit the rides. Kenya went on a couple of rides and then it was nap time. She took a nice nap in the stroller in the shade with Mark and I continued to take Tali on the rides. Once Kenya woke up she was ready for rides, rides and more rides. We ended up staying until the park closed. Tali was asleep in the car before we got out of the parking lot....she wore herself right out!! We had a great day as a family. We went on rattlesnack rapids and as you can tell from the pictures Tali was not too happy about getting all wet!!

4th of July in Fillmore!!

The girls and I spent the 4th of July weekend in Fillmore. Mark had to work so we had to leave him home. The girls had a blast. They decorated their bikes and wagon for the childrens parade Friday night and then had hotdogs in the park. The next morning we went to the parade and headed to the park for lunch and fun. The girls got their faces painted, jumped on the bungee trampoline. We enjoyed the fireworks that night.

1st Annual Douglas and Beth Crosland Reunion

The last weekend in June we had a family reunion. This is the first reunion we have had with my dad's siblings. Both of my grandparents (my dad's parents) have passed away, it is important that we stay close as a family so my mom put together a reunion. My dad has three siblings an older sister, a younger brother still living and a younger sister who passed away in Decemeber. We had the reunion in Fillmore at the park and had so much fun and of course ate way too much.

We hosted a BBQ for some of Mark's co-workers. A couple of them left IMC to start medical school back east. So before they took off they got together for a BBQ. There were others that came but didn't stick around for pictures.....since we didn't get the camera out until the end of the night (my bad). Mark really enjoys his job and his co-workers for the most part!! It makes it so much more enjoyable to go to work and get along with others you work with for 10 straight hours. Just a side note Tali LOVES to have Marks coworkers over because apparently she is going to marry one of them...too funny!

I don't know what was wrong with my camera this night but the quality of these pictures are terrible and so I didn't take very many. Tali has loved preschool this last year and will be going back again in September. She made lots of new friends and learned many things including how to write her name. Miss Katie did such a good job with the graduation I wish I had taken more pictures. You know as soon as Tali's fingers go to her mouth she is nervous! The class sang lots of cute songs that they had learned throughout the year and everyone had a speaking part. Tali can't wait for school to start again!!

Getting ready for church proves to be such a challenge, especially on the Sundays that Mark works. I would rather just stay home on those days than fight with the two divas to get them ready and out the door, but then I would feel bad! Tali LOVES her primary class and her teachers, Kenya HATES nursery. Kenya stays with me and most the time is very disruptive so we spend our time in the hallway while Tali is enjoying her class.

Mark and I took the girls to the Bruin Bash at SLCC. They had a ton of fun things for the kids and the best part was that it was all free. The girls got balloon hats made, played in the jumpers, ate cotton candy, popcorn & hot dogs, & listened to the live bands. All ready to go...

We signed Tali up for spring soccer this year. She was so excited to play, but the excitement didn't last long. Once we got to the field she didn't want anything to do with it. Her coach was awesome..holding her hand the whole time while out on the field. Maybe next year she won't be so shy and learn to enjoy it!! Kenya on the other hand we couldn't keep off the field she wanted to play more than Tali and of course wanted in on all the treats....

Decorating Easter Eggs

The girls and I decorated easter eggs with Tali's neighbor friend Madi. I thought that Kenya was old enough this year to just dip the eggs and wait, but that was not the case!! She ended up with more dye on her clothes and arms than any of her eggs did! They turned out cute and we were eating hard boiled eggs for days.

I am once again a little behind on posting! Kenya turned 2 on January 30th!! She is so much fun, although she can be a little stincker at times. She torments Tali to no end, loves to bite HARD, but can give the sweetest kisses!! We had a birthday party for her and invited our families and close friends. My mom had made her a jungle cake and we played pin the nose on the lion. She was spoiled with gifts!

Tali & Kenya's cousin Kadee turned two on January 27th just three days before Kenya turned two!! Aunty Missa & Uncle John had a fabulous party for her at Jumpin Jacks in Springville. Tali & Kenya had a blast playing with all their counsins and going crazy on the slides. I had quite the workout carrying Kenya up to the top of the slides, it was well worth it except for the missing skin on my elbow that still hasn't healed!! Mark turned 32 on January 12th!! I had to work that morning and he had to work that night...the story of our lives! Tali and I made him a cake and she woke up and remembered it was his birthday. She sang happy birthday and blew out the candles all while Kenya was still sleeping! I had made another cake and we got some ice cream and went to his work to surprise him at night. He was really shocked that we came to visit him and the girls loved the crazy ride in the oversized wheelchair they got in return!! We love you Dad and hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

Tracy who was one of my roommates at Dixie is getting married. They had a bridal shower/bachelorette party for her. She ended up with some really nice gifts and I am so happy for her! I wasn't going to go because it was a night Mark was working and you all know how I feel about getting a babysitter so I told Niki and Kelli just to go and tell Tracy I was sorry. Niki calls me and talks me into going and of course taking the girls so we went and had so much fun....that is why I look so beautiful I threw on some clothes and out the door we went! Sledding Fun!

We spent some time in Fillmore after Christmas and through the New Year. Tali and Kenya's favorite thing to do was go sledding! Sadie and Taylor are such great helps and old enough to drive the 4 wheeler and pull all the little ones on sleds. They had a blast.

We had a great Christmas and feel blessed. Tali was really excited for Santa this year and Kenya just fed off of Tali's excitement. Mark had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but he was home for a little while Christmas morning to see the girls open their gifts. It is a tradition for us to give the girls new jammies and a new Christmas book to open on Christmas Eve. Here they are in their new jammies....Tali wearing her doctor dress-ups that Santa delivered.

My Dearest Aunt Connie

My dearest Aunt Connie passed away on December 17th. She was my dad's younger sister. She died at the young age of 55. I have really struggled with trying to decide to blog about this or not, but I think writing out my feelings will help me heal and also give me something to look back and read to remember. My mom called me Wednesday, December 16th at work and asked me to go over and check on my Aunt Connie, since no one had been able to get a hold of her all day. After work I ran home and picked up Mark and the girls and we went to visit Aunt Connie. I was not expecting to find what I did. She was completely unresponsive, but breathing. I immediately called 911. I went to the hospital with her and waited for her daughter to get there. Her condition continued to decrease and she passed away in the early morning of the 17th. I am so sad that she had to leave this earth, but I know she is in a much better place. I am sure she had a delightful reunion with her parents! Aunt Connie was such a sweet and giving lady. My dad was here with me the next day, thank goodness! I was so sick, I couldn't stop throwing up, I couldn't sleep, every time I would close my eyes I would see my aunt just the way I found her. I was given a blessing by my dad and Mark and was finally able to get some sleep. We had the funeral services on Monday, December 21st in SLC and then the burial later that day in Holden. The services were really nice and it was a special tribute to a great lady. We will miss you Aunt Connie!

We had the Lapuaho family Christmas party on Sunday, December 20th. It was alot of fun. It was really neat this year also because Marks dads younger sister and brother both from New Zealand were here visiting. Marks dads older brother who lives in Sandy also came with his family. We had our annual Crosland family Christmas party on Sunday December 13th. We had so much fun all being together. We played Christmas bingo and pictionary, had a delicious Christmas dinner, exchanged gifts, played a white elephant gift game, and had a candy cane pinata filled with goodies for the kids! I LOVE these girls! We were all roommates at Dixie College back in the day! We had a blast meeting up for dinner. We all had stories to share from the good ole' days! I see Niki almost everyday & if I don't see her I am on the phone with her mulitple times throughout the day! I see Kelli pretty regular to...but Tracy I have not seen since Tali was just a baby. Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving, it gives us all a reason to stop and think about all we are thankful for. I for one take many things for granted and don't stop long enough to be thankful and grateful for all that I have. I am thankful for my husband and out two healthy, sassy daughters. I am thankful for our families and for all they do for us. I am thankful for the gospel and for my testimony. I am thankful for friends who are always there for my little family, the list goes on!

This year for Thanksgiving, Mark worked so the girls and I had dinner with Marks family and then Friday after my shopping, the girls and I headed to Fillmore for the weekend. We had Thanksgiving dinner again on Friday!

Even though our team lost on Saturday the girls were cheering loud for the red and white!

On Saturday Santa Claus paid a visit to Fillmore! I took the girls to visit him. Tali was shy but wasn't scared, Kenya on the other hand did not want anything to do with him.

Halloween Spirit....

This year we had a fun Halloween. A little sad for us because we didn't open KrEePeRs (our haunted house) this year. Mark ended up working on Halloween but that didn't stop me and the girls from having a great time. I worked in the morning and dressed up with my friends at work. The girls came in later that day and ended up with their bags full of candy. Tali was Abby Caddaby from Seasame Street and Kenya was Minnie Mouse. Halloween night I took the girls trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and then we came home and handed out candy to all our trick-or-treaters. We can't wait for next year!

Crazy Corn Maze

Marks family activity for October was to go to the Corn Maze. We all met up at his parents' house to enjoy chili cheese dogs and head on over to the corn maze. We had a great time. Tali went through the maze (well not all the way) with Aunty Kelli & Uncle Sam. She had a great time. Mark and I stayed out with the real monster Kenya. After the corn maze we had donuts and hot cocoa. Kenya did not the the scarecrow man at the beginning!!

My sister in Fillmore needed a babysitter one weekend in October. I took the girls and we spent the weekend in Fillmore while daddy was working. I had made a bunch of Halloween shaped sugar cookies and then I let all the kids decorate them. I think they had more fun eating them than they did decorating them. They turned out really cute!

The first part of October we went with the Pela's to Park City for the night. It was fun to get away. The kids had a blast going crazy and of course swimming! Kenya hated her swimming tube. I took it off of her and she thought she could swim. I would just let her go and she would go right under I would lift her up, she would blink a few times and then wanted to do it again....she is quite the fish! She just needs to learn to keep her head above water!

Sleepy Kenya!

Lately Kenya has been getting so tired in the afternoons. Mark tries to keep her up until I am on my way home from work so I can get a little rest in with Tali. But there are somedays she just can't handle it any longer...she will just lay down on the floor and fall right to sleep...she is so cute! This post is dedicated to Mark! Since I have gone back to work full time, Mark takes care of the girls in the morning until I get home and he leaves for work. The one thing that I can't complain about ever is what a great dad he is. He LOVES his girls and I am glad they get to spend so much time together. He is so good about taking pictures during their morning to show me how much fun they have had. Although he doesn't do things how I would (because you all know my way is the right way) he does a great job and the girls sure do love their daddy! The time has come for Tali to start preschool! I have been talking to her about it for awhile now and she has been so excited to finally be able to go to school. Tuesday was her first day! I got her ready and off we went. We got to Miss Katie's preschool and she jumped right out of the car followed by "see ya mom!" I say "I will walk you to the door"..bad idea!! We got to the door and she just started crying. I ended up staying for a minute then just left her crying. Mark went and picked her up after school and she was so excited to tell us all about it! She is all ready for show and tell tomorrow so hopefully no more tears!

So I have finally updated our blog! I have just finished 11 new posts...scroll down to check them all out. Just a few other updates, we are all alive and doing well. Mark and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary in June....time flies by when you are having fun..right?? I completed my first 10K run on July 24th. I loved it and can't wait for my next run. Mark started school again last week. With our crazy schedules it worked out best for him just to take an online class this semester. Stayed tuned for Tali's first day of preschool, she starts next week!!

On Saturday also after we left the Aquarium we decided to stop off at Willow Pond Park and let the girls run through the water. Kenya was not having it, which is surprising she usually loves the water. She was more interested in the playground than she was with getting wet. Tali on the other hand loved it. She would run through covering her eyes so that the water wouldn't get in them!!

Tali turned 3 on July 29th! Since it was in the middle of the week I made her a small cake and got her a little gift to open on her special day. She called me at work when she woke up and I sang happy birthday to her and then she blew out her candles. On Saturday we had a party for her. She wanted a Tinkerbell party so that is what she got! All her cousins came and we had a great time. We played pin the star on Tinkerbell's wand, had a BBQ with lots of good food, had a Tinkerbell pinata and enjoyed lots of Tinkerbell cake thanks to Grandma Crosland for all her hard work making the cakes so cute. Tali wore her Tinkerbell dress the entire party just like a princess!

Uncle John, Aunty Missa & Kadee gave her two goldfish and a bowl....so sad the fish only lasted a couple of days! They have sinced been replaced with a blue beta.

My mom came to visit for a few days this summer and brought Hailey with her. Tali & Hailey love to play together. They play more like sisters than they do cousins. Good thing for Grandma to keep them from fighting! They enjoyed playing at the park just down the street from our house!Mark made them a water slide in the backyard to play on!

Update on the Hummingbirds!

So the hummingbirds are long gone from their nest but since I am so behind on blogging I wanted to share. The birds hatched and we had two hummingbirds plus the momma living in the nest on our front porch. The nest was so small it was amazing to see them all fit. Tali would warn everyone to be quiet because we had hummingbirds sleeping....now they are gone, but it was fun to watch them while they were our guests.

West Fest

We LOVE the West Fest!! This year we started out Saturday by me running the 5K race with my good friends Niki & Kelli. We had a blast running together like always.

After the race Mark had found the perfect spot to watch the parade...nice and shady! We watched the parade and the kids gathered as much candy as they could. Here are some pictures from our favorite entries.

Then it was home for much needed naps. We went back later that evening and took the girls to the carnival. They LOVED the rides!!

After the carnival it was time for the fireworks. Kenya did NOT like them. She gripped onto me and tried to hide. Every once in a while she would look up to the sky. She was more afraid of the loud booms than anything.

We had a great day spending time together!

Before we left St. George heading home Mark took the girls swimming one last time!

We had a great time on vacation and the girls had so much fun playing with all their cousins. But all good things come to an end, unfortunately it was time for us to return home. We had a surprise waiting for us when we returned.....A HUMMINGBIRD NEST!!

The hummingbird made it right on our front porch. Tali loves to watch the bird from our front window and she reminds everyone to be quiet when they leave so they will not disturb the bird!

Bye Bye Vegas....Hello St. George ~ Day 8

Day 8:

Our vacation was coming to an end. We were all sad to leave Las Vegas but excited to get to St. George and stay one more night so I could run in the midnight 5K!

Once we were in St. George and settled in our motel the kids were dying to go swimming...don't ask me why. Maybe because it was a new pool to check out! We stayed at the Crystal Inn which when I was going to Dixie was the Hilton. My roommates and I used to sneak in and go swimming in this same pool!!

At dinner...best friends...AGAIN!!

After dinner we went to the city park and let the kids play.

We headed over to Southgate Golf Course around 10:30 PM. I picked up my packet and got ready to run! I was really really tired, I had been on vacation all week long and all I wanted to do was go to sleep! I was able to finish running the 5K.

Vegas ~ Day 7

Day 7:

Thursday was our last full day in Vegas! We all went bowling in the morning. We went to South Point which has a 64 lane bowling alley. We all had a blast. Even the little ones got in on the action and had their own game going on!

All cleaned up and now where to go! We needed to start getting our stuff together so we could leave the next day. We all just hung out at the condos played games and packed up.

Vegas ~ Day 6

Day 6:

Wednesday we had decided to spend the afternoon and evening on the strip. There were quite a few things we wanted to take the kids to see, so we set off! Our first unusual experience happened at the M&M factory. We went up to the 3rd floor so all the grandkids could get a bag of M&Ms that grandma was treating them to. They all picked out their own colors and flavors. In the meantime Mark had found some things he wanted so he went over to the cash register. Just then they annouce over the PA system everyone must exit immediately. So I am on the 3rd floor with the double stroller, Tali is asleep in it, and I can't find Mark anywhere & they will not let us use the escalator. So my dad & I carry the double stroller down 3 flights of stairs with all the rest of thousands of people. We made it safely outside. We walk around to the front of the building and they are letting people back in. My mom went back to get all the bags of M&Ms that the kids picked out and they had trashed them all....so much for the M&M factory....not impressed!

Vegas ~ Day 5

Day 5:

Tuesday morning my sister Melissa had made us girls (me, my two sisters, & Sadie) reservations at the spa to get pedicures. It was really wonderful and peaceful!! We left all the kids with the dads in the swimming pool and took off to our appointments. After an hour of complete relaxation this is what our toes looked like..

Mine of course are the cuttest in pink!!

After a morning of swimming the kids were worn out. The condos were serving hot dogs and lemonade for lunch poolside. Some were just too tired to eat...

After lunch and naps my sister Cheryl's family and us went to town square. My parents went out to dinner and to see Donny & Marie! Town Square was really cute and the kids had a blast playing in all the little house, slides, hedge maze, and water.

Let me explain this next picture. While we were at Town Square...first of all there were some interesting people there, and I love to people watch so it was fun for me. This little boy loved the water sprayers. He was just in his undies and he would just wait...once the water started spraying up he would thrust his hips forward and have the water hit his peepee! He did it over and over again...

We left Town Square and headed to South Point for buffet dinner. It was really good and fun to have such a variety of foods.

Vegas ~ Day 4

Day 4:

Monday morning we headed out to Primm to do some shopping at the outlets! When we got back the kids went swimming again. Once the kids were all bathed and cleaned up we headed to Sliverton Lodge, where they have a 117,000 gallon aquarium. We got there and after just a few mintues the divers were in the tank feeding all the fish. It was really cool to watch and the kids LOVED it!

Sliverton Lodge is also home of the Pro Bass Shop. We walked around and looked at all the cool things.

We left Silverton Lodge and headed to Sams Town. By time we got there we had just missed to indoor water and light show. We didn't want to wait another hour with all the little ones getting fussy; so the next best thing....ice cream sundaes for everyone!

Vegas ~ Day 3

Day 3:

Sunday...we decided to head out to Bonnie Springs Petting Zoo. It turned out to be a great day for us to go. It was little overcast so it wasn't SOOO hot! The kids had a great time seeing all the animals just wandering freely. There were lots of duck to feed, ponies to ride, shows to watch & good food to eat!!

We left the ranch and headed back to the condos...Some went swimming and come had naps. That night we had planned to have a spaghetti dinner! Good Morning Las Vegas!!

Our second day in Vegas was spent poolside all morning! It was great just to relax and let all the kids swim until they were ready for naps. After naps and something to eat we headed to Fremont Street.

Driving next to Uncle John and Aunty Missa. Sadie throwing a peace sign but check out her other hand....she was trying to be sneeky!! Here are some pictures we took driving down the strip towards Fremont Street.

Here are pictures from Fremont Street. It was fun to walk around and then watch the show above us! One thing we all noticed was EVERYONE would stare...like they had NEVER seen strollers before or something. It was so annoying...I am surprised Mark didn't say anything to a few people who seriously could not stop staring at us with our four strollers!! Just to explain...we had a double stroller, Melissa had a stroller, Cheryl had two strollers.

Vegas Vacation!!

Day 1:

We took a week vacation with my family to Las Vegas. We had a blast! I have soooo many pictures thanks to Mark, I have decided to break up the post by day. We were able to do alot fun things while we were there. I hope you enjoy this post and the rest that will follow.

I am starting on day one....the drive to Vegas! We left Fillmore around 10AM. After making a couple of stops...one for the bathroom and the other to pick up our nieces (Sadie & Taylor) who were coming with us but their dad couldn't make it, so my parents picked them up from their mom, we made it to St. George!!

This is where Mark and I first met, so of course Mark with the camera snapped a picture. The campus has changed to much since Mark and I were attending school here but it was fun to drive by and of course have a TON of memories come flooding back!!

We stopped at one of Marks favorite places for lunch....Honolulu Grill. It was great food and good to get the girls out of the car for a bit.

After lunch it was back in the car headed to Vegas. Mark & I and the girls were following my parents. With my parents were Sadie, Taylor & Hailey. The rest of the family was heading down a little later in the day. Just outside of Vegas my mom starts cutting off cars and pulls into the emergency lane, we of course follow wondering what the H#$%!! Well Hailey had thrown up all over herself and Sadie...poor Sadie! We get her cleaned up the best we could and then back on the road just wanting to get to our condos. We finally made it and the rest of the family (Cheryl, Melissa & their families) were not far behind us. The condos that we were staying in were brand new and super nice. Grandview at Las Vegas if anyone is interested!! Once we all got settled into our condos we decided to walk over to a little cafe by the pool and get some dinner.

Trip to Cali

On May 6th Mark and I found out that T Pela's father has passed away in California. The Pela's are such good friends of ours and would do anything for us. Mark and I decided we would take the girls and drive out to Cali for the funeral services. They were held on Saturday May 9th. We left Salt Lake on Thursday night around 9PM. We figured if we drove through the night the girls would both sleep. We got to our hotel Friday morning around 8. It took us 11 hours and the girls were great... both of them slept most of the way. Here are some pictures from the services.

We left Cali around noon. Both girls were ready for a nap. The beginning of the drive went okay. Then it was not so okay. Niether of them wanted to sit in their seats they both wanted out of the car! We stopped in Winnemucca for about an hour. Tali rode her scooter around and Kenya was all over the place. Then it was back in the car!! We made it home safely at 2:30 Monday morning. We are both glad we went and the services were beautiful.

We LOVE girls at our house! Kenya and Tali love to play together...well most days! They are about the same size even though Tali is 18 months older.A few days last week and this week we are watching my friend Kelli's daughter Kennedy, while her regular babysitter is out of town. We have loved having her at our house. Kenya thinks she is a doll and trys holding her! It has been fun to have someone new to play with. Thanks Kelli for letting us watch her!

One of Kenya's favorite thing to do is climb in the drawer where I keep all the sipee cups. She will climb in then one by one throw all the cups and lids all over the floor. Mark has already fixed the drawer once. It is just a matter of time before it is broke again. Kenya is just a little over the weight limit that the one drawer can hold!! One may ask why do you let her get in it? Well somedays it is just easier to let her do what she wants than to fight with her.

April 23rd my Dad celebrated his 59th birthday!! We went to Fillmore to help him celebrate. We had just a small cake since it was just my little family and my dad and of course Hailey home on the day of his actual birthday. Saturday we had a family BBQ with all the rest that could make it. We had some delicious food, cake and ice cream. Happy Happy Birthday Dad and many more to come!!

My Grandma Taylor was in Provo last week for her second round of surgery. She is fighting cancer. My mom has been staying with her while she has been in the hospital. Once she was released they had to stay another night to see the doctor the next day before my mom could take her home. Mark and I took this opportunity to go visit. We took the girls and went to visit her and we all went to dinner.

Busy Saturday....

This past Saturday was fun for us. I started the day by running my second 5K race. I ran in the SL Marathon, but yes only the 5K. I had a blast, the weather was perfect. I finished in 31:07 which is better than my first and that is my goal to keep beating my time. After the race I headed home, when I got home Mark and the girls were still sleeping!!Kelli, Me, & Niki after the race.

Once everyone woke up I took Tali and went to get the car washed, it needed it badly. If I had the TIME & energy I would do it myself alot more often but that doesn't ever happen. Then it was off to Mark's rugby game. We made it to the field a little early and was able to watch Highland and Skyline highschool rugby teams play. During the second half of Marks game he got hit pretty hard and it knocked him out. So for the rest of the day and into Sunday he was a bit out if it, but he is back to normal now. Thank goodness it wasn't anything more serious. His team lost 31-40. They played against a team from Sacramento. Since it was the playoffs and they lost then they do not move on. So sad....on a brighter note it will be nice to have him home more!
After the game we headed to our good friends the Pelas for a little BBQ. Mark was still out of it so it was nice just to relax and let the kids play outside.

Tali was all worn out. She wanted to watch cartoons so I turned them on for her. About five minutes later Kenya turned the TV off (one of her favorite things to do). Usually Tali will start yelling "No Kenya, Mom..... Kenya turned the TV off," but all was quiet. I walked over and this is how I found Tali....sound asleep!

I love Easter! It usually means the start of spring time weather....but lately I'm not so sure about that! We had a great Easter weekend. It was Marks weekend off so it made it all that much better. During the week, while Kenya was taking one of her many naps (she loves to sleep) Tali and I colored eggs. Tali had a blast making them all different colors and then she made some that "matched" each other! Here are some pictures...aren't the eggs soo cute!

Saturday we went to Marks rugby game and froze! It was cold and rainy. But we had a good time anyways. That night we took the girls to the Mayan for dinner. I haven't been there in years. At first Tali was scared and kept telling me "Lets just go home Mom". But after we got seated and explained to her it was just a show she was fine and then of course she didn't want to leave. A few of the divers walked by while we were eating and Tali was so cute she would start waving then yell out "Hi my name is Tali!" It was a fun day spent out of the house!!

Weekend Fun!

This weekend Mark had a rugby game in St. George. We headed to Fillmore on Friday and stayed the night. Saturday morning Mark and I headed to St. George and left the girls in Fillmore with Grandpa & Grandma. Our good friends the Pelas met up with us in Fillmore Saturday morning and headed to St. George with us. Marks team won their rugby game 69 to 0!! After the game we ate at Honolulu Grill....way GOOD!! We then headed back to Fillmore to catch the last half of the donkey basketball game!! Yes, real people ride on real donkeys and they play basketball. Mark couldn't believe it. I left the camera in the car so I didn't get any pictures...but is was soooo funny to watch. Relaxed on Sunday, hung out with the family and made the drive safely back home.

My New Hobby!!

I LOVE Running! I started running about 6 months ago and I love it. I have decided to run a 5K every month maybe two a month if I can fit them into my schedule! Saturday was my first run, I finished in 31 minutes. My goal is to just keep beating my time and by October be able to run a 10K. I am really excited. I would love to eventually work my way up to running a half-marathon...right now those 13 miles seem like a little much!

Rugby has Started!!

Mark's rugby season has started! He is playing for Salt Lake Spartans this year, instead of Park City Haggis. They had their first game March 7th against Provo and lost 20 to 12. They played again yesterday against St. George and they won 57 to 0!! These pictures are from the game against Provo, I didn't get any pictures yesterday... I know...I got to the game late and then just forgot!! As much as I hate having him gone all week with school, work and rugby practice it is fun to go watch him play on Saturdays. I just hope it warms up!!!Mark is #2...he just threw the ball in.

Valentines Day for us is much different now that we have two little ones! Both of the girls have been sick with strep throat for the past week so things have not been too fun at our house. For Valentines Day since they were both feeling better....finally, we decided to get out of the house. We took the girls and went with the Pela family bowling. We headed to Fat Cats to have some fun. Tali loved throwing the ball down the lane! We had the bumpers up on one lane for all the kids. I am thankful so have such great friends!Mom helping Tali bowl

After bowling we went and did some shopping then headed home. Our good friends T and Niki came over later and we had banana splits and watched a movie. Valentines Day sure does change with kids! Mark did surprise me with beautiful flowers Friday when he came home from work! It made my day!!

Kenya is soo BIG!!

I am a little slow is posting this but better now than never! Kenya had her one year old well child check and she is develpoping and growing VERY well!! Here are her stats:

Weight: 24 lbs 12 ozs (95%)

Height: 30 1/2 inches (85%)

Head Size: 45.5 cm (70%)

Just is comparison Tali was 20 lbs 2 ozs and 28 1/2 inches long at her one year old appointment. It is so fun to watch Tali and Kenya playing, you would think Kenya is the older one. She is always punking Tali for the toys and especially food. If Tali is eating something you better believe that Kenya is one her way to take it away and put it right in her mouth! I love my girls.

Kenya turned one on January 30th...Happy Birthday to her. I can't believe she is one, it seems like yesterday I was pregnant with her. She is so cute and so fun. Mark, Tali and I all love her so much. She isn't walking yet but getting close. She LOVES to eat. She will eat anything and everything. She is so happy all the time, I couldn't have been blessed with a better daughter. She now has six teeth, two on bottom and four on top! She is a dancer!!! Once she hears music she will start moving her hips back and forth and to the beat of the music! It is so fun to watch her switch her style when the song changes. Happy Birthday Sister, we love you and can't wait to see all the changes you make in the next year! We had a little cake for her on Friday to celebrate her birthday.

She has her one year old well child check tomorrow! I will post her stats later.....

We had a party for her on Saturday will all her cousins and friends. It was a blast. We all enjoyed good food, good music, a fun clown and lots of craziness! Here are some pictures from her big day.

It was Mark's birthday yesterday!! Happy 31st!! I know I am a day late but blogging did not fit into my schedule yesterday. I made a cake on Sunday for him and Tali was so excited to light the candles that we celebrated on Sunday when he got home from work. Me and the girls took some balloons and dinner to him at work last night and surprised him. I just wanted to let him know how much we love him and thank him for everything he does for us. You are a GREAT daddy!
